Chapter 03 - Merrick and Mitch
While waiting to hear back from Jackie, Caroline went through many other decisions that would shape how The Minute Women would go about their work. She had advertised for an Executive Assistant on a local job board before she met with Jackie. She got some responses earlier this morning. She did phone interviews with them and ended up hiring Nicole Sanderson, a recent college graduate. During the interviews Caroline was rather frank with the candidates. The hours the office would be open were quite unusual, noon to 8 PM Monday through Thursday and 9 AM to 4 PM on Saturday. Caroline made clear that this was a job done at the office, not remotely, and if and when things got very busy an element of the job was to be the office manager. Otherwise, the job mainly entailed sitting with Caroline as she worked out her ideas and future plans for the organization and giving feedback to this early thinking.
